THE SCREEN ADDICTION INSTITUTE
Original Research. Clinical Recovery. Global Training
We investigate the addiction-driven neurofunctional mechanisms underlying screen-related symptoms and develop evidence-based scientific and therapeutic innovations through research and clinical practice.
Science & Therapy
Screen Children® advances the understanding and treatment of screen addiction through original research, clinical practice, and scientific innovation.
We provide assessment, consultation, and recovery programs for children, adolescents, adults, and families, using neurofunctional evaluations and evidence-based therapeutic methods to restore healthy brain and nervous-system functioning.
We also train professionals and regional centres of expertise worldwide, enabling the responsible transfer, application, and expansion of our methodology across healthcare, education, sport, and community settings.
Screen addiction
& Screen Trauma
Our research shows how screen addiction disrupts the brain and nervous system across all ages, leading to measurable neurofunctional changes and clinical symptoms.
Screen addiction is one of the fastest-growing neurofunctional disorders of our time. It does not arise from the amount of digital stimulation, but from the addictive mode the brain shifts into; a mode that disrupts its natural organisation, rhythms, and regulatory capacity.
Even when screens are removed, a phenomenon known as screen trauma remains, the disruptions and symptoms persist as stable patterns in the nervous system.
What we do
a new perspective
At Screen Children®, we investigate the phenomenon of screen addiction and its neurobiological mechanisms. Through original research, clinical assessment, and proprietary therapeutic programs, we advance the understanding of how addiction reshapes the brain, nervous system, and human development.
Our work has led to new scientific and therapeutic approaches capable of addressing severe diagnoses and complex symptomatology, with the goal of achieving full neurofunctional recovery.
All our methods are proprietary, evidence-based, and designed to restore the healthy organisation, regulation, and functioning of the brain and nervous system.
Research, Recovery & Training
the screen culture
We develop and conduct apparatus-based (EEG, HRV, biofeedback) and non-apparatus assessments, as well as prevention programs designed to identify and address the neurofunctional effects of screen addiction.
We create proprietary therapeutic programs that lead to full restoration of functional disorders and complete resolution of associated symptoms through targeted recovery of the brain and nervous system.
We provide lectures, conferences, specialised professional training, and certification programs for therapists in our methods, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field.
We publish NOOTISM, a scientific journal presenting our research and clinical advancements in screen addiction, functional and developmental disorders, trauma mechanisms, and therapeutic approaches.
Our methods are grounded in scientific evidence published in NOOTISM and translated directly into clinical practice, therapeutic protocols, and professional education. Through this integration of research, therapy, and training, we advance new standards for understand, prevent and treat screen addiction through science-based recovery.
